Fountain is exclusively focused on the life science sector. Specific areas of interest to us are: specialty pharma, medical devices, biotechnology and diagnostics.

We will deploy the majority of our capital in Europe with a strong focus on Ireland.

We will invest in private companies at all stages of development with an emphasis on companies with experienced management teams seeking capital to fund product development activities.

We intend to employ capital efficiently to support development of a company through value inflection points that will lead to an attractive exit for our companies through either an initial public offering (IPO) or trade sale.

We aim to build a portfolio of 10 to 15 life science companies, allocating between €0.5M to €7M per company over the life of the investment.

Our preference is to invest as part of a like-minded investment syndicate that agree from the outset on the most appropriate strategy to an exit and who have the capital to support the company in achieving that exit.

We seek a significant multiple return on our investment over a three to five year time period.
